MARCH 8TH 2008

Kellingley Welfare 3-3 Thornes Juniors
 
Kellingley's red team went 3 goals to nil down before half time,the half time team talk and substitutions saw a different team in the second half.An excellent pass from Reece Adamson to Lewis Drury who threaded the ball through for Ryan Franks to get Kells first goal.A good run from Lewis Drury and shot resulted in a Kells corner which was swung in by Lewis Pickering for Josh Ruckledge to get his head to the ball to get Kells second.Another good pass from Kells Luke Langton to Reece Adamson put through Ryan Franks who unselfishly passed to Lewis Drury for him to equalize for Kells.Man of match for Kells was a joint team effort.
 
Kellingley Welfare 1-6 Thornes Juniors

Kellingleys blue team were not as fortunate and lost their game 1 goal to 6.Despite the score some excellent defending from Man of match Zak Bennett and Ethan Grace couldn't stop Thornes.Some excellent running from Brett Smith and Ryan Gledhill just couldn't break the Thornes defence.

NOVEMBER 18TH 2007

Kellingley Welfare u9's won 4-1 against Alverthorpe Juniors.Striker Lewis Drury scored twice with Coby Glew and Morgan Middleton getting one each.Luke Langton and Reece Franks had solid games in defence and Joshua Ruckledge made some great saves.Midfielder Reece Adamson was unlucky not to get on the score sheet denied by the post on several occasions.Man of match for Kells was a joint team effort.

Kellingley u9's won the second game 6-1 thanks to 5 goals from Ryan Franks and 1 from Callum Hargraves.Solid defence from Declan Waugh kept Alverthorpe at bay.Midfield duo Ryan Rooke and Rhys Maughan both had strong games.Man of Match for Kells was a joint team effort.

NOVEMBER 4TH 2007

Kellingley Welfare u9's went out of the league cup 2 goals to 4 against Durkar Devils.Durkar scored 3 before Kells started their comeback.A good tackle from Lewis Drury won the ball for Kells and excellent passing between Drury and Ryan Franks put Coby Glew through for Kells first goal.Kells pressurised Durkar but they couldn't break a excellent defence.Reece Adamson came close to getting Kells 2nd with a well struck shot that just went wide.Defender Luke Langton made some hard hitting tackles with keeper and man of the match Reece Franks making some excellent saves.Kells defender Joshua Ruckledge struck the ball from a rebounded corner for him to score his first goal of the season and get Kells 2nd goal of the game.

In the return game Kells went down 7 goals to 0.Kells came close with a good break from man of the match Callum Hargraves putting Sam Wilson through on goal but brilliant defnding kept out Kells.Connor Douglas and Connor England both had strong games in defence with Zak Bennett and Declan Waugh also working hard.Kells Brett Smith made some good runs but couldn't break the solid defence.Substitutes Ryan Rooke and Rhys Maughan both made goal saving tackles but Durkar proved too strong for Kells.

OCTOBER 28TH 2007

Kells Blues 9 - 0 Stanley Utd

Kellingley u9's blue team ran out 9-0 winners against Stanley United.Kells took command of the game from the start with excellent passing between Coby Glew and Ryan Franks.Midfield pair Reece Adamson and Morgan Middleton worked tirelessly throughout but Kells were unfortunate to lose Middleton through injury late on.Kells defenders Luke Langton,Reece Franks and keeper Josh Ruckledge all worked hard together to keep Kells clean sheet.Man of Match for Kells was Coby Glew scoring his hat trick with Ryan Franks coming a very close second putting 5 goals away their 9th was an unfortunate own goal.

Kellingley Reds 0 - 6 Stanley Utd

Kellingley u9's reds weren't as lucky with them going down 6 goals to 0.Despite the score defender Zak Bennett had an outstanding game at the back earning himself man of the match.Sam Wilson had a good game upfront and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet.Declan Waugh,Brett Smith, Connor England and Connor Douglas all worked hard as did keeper Callum Hargraves.Ryan Rooke made an impressive debut with some stong running.
